AUGUSTA. On October 6, 2005, the Maine Board of Environmental Protection took over jurisdiction of Dragon Cement Products' pollution license for its cement kiln dust and clinker waste piles. The BEP was responding to a request by Thomaston area group Neighbors for Safe Dragon (NSD) A public hearing will be held in Thomaston or Rockland in early 2006.
