Vanishing Monhegan. The world-famed views of this enchanting island off the coast of Maine are threatened with change. The University of Maine proposes to build three windtowers two miles offshore Monhegan Island. Day and night, the windtowers would doninate the scenes shown in this collection with their lights, whirling blades and sounds.
