March 22, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m: Marion, NC (or vicinity) We should get a March Sat. 20, in Asheville for the first forum. If the industry objects, tell them that your consituents demand it. THis doesn't give us enough time to organize the same turn out as we got for the Oct, 97 Asheville hearing. WHo's going to be organizing in all of these places before they begin? A few well targeted post-cards to the WNCA/DOGWOOD/SABP local membership in the area will probably do a heap a good. Everyone understands the chipmill issue in this area. Most of them want a chance to speak at one of these hearing but they don't hear about them. THe UNCA/WarrenWilson/ASU students should turn out some people and flier town. Are we getting the TreeGreenTeam from western NC together Monday? We can hold the meeting in SABP's office. Maybe a nice email post to the people who turned out for the next one would help. If someone tells me when you all can get together again next week, I'll zap a post to everyone who came together last time. If someone else is doing this already, let me know. How about wednesday at noon? zap ya later, Andrew Date: Sat, 23 Jan 99 18:34:55 -0000 From: Andrew George Add to Address Book Subject: Re: [Fwd: Proposal for Chip Mill Study Public Forums.] To: "Danna Smith" , "Cielo Myczack" , "Ron Huber" , "Rick Spencer" , "Donald De Bona" , "Bob Gale" Hello Thanks for the update, Danna.
