Sears Island Bulletin Board! Now you can debate and discuss the pros, cons and information gaps swirling around Sears Island in near real time! To subscribe/register: Click Here to go to the Sears Island Bulletin Board. There, you can read the bulletin board without subscribing. Once there, to be able to post YOUR thoughts, follow these five steps:
* Click on "Register Your Free Account"
*There, select either a "global" or "local" account. (local is easy).
* There, fill out acct info. Be as creative as you like in the "user name" and the "Profile Information" sections. Uncheck the "Yes, i want to receive messages..." box unless you want email advertising sent you.
* Then click on the terms of use button, declaring you are more than 13 years old, and press "Register my local acct" button. An email will be sent you to verify that you are you.
* Click on the link in the email and you are signed up and on the Sears Island bulletin board page, and can log in with your user name and password.

ANNOUNCEMENTS LIST The Friends of Sears Island announcements listserve posts announcements about protecting Sears Island from industrial development as an LNG port. Also known as Was'a'umkeag, 'Island of the shining shore', Sears Island is the largest undeveloped, unprotected island in Maine.
