Description:
This series is being maintained as a historical record of the proposed cargo port project at Sears Island, Maine. The documents will show the development and implementation of the policies and plans that resulted in the Sears in the Sears Island Cargo Port project. These files contain administrative records used by the Maine DOT, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in preparing and receiving information leading to decisions regarding the issuance of permits which required environmental review. Other documents in this series would include reports and studies prepared throughout commercial, and financial aspects of the project.
