Below Mainer inmate Smokey D. Heath seeks return to Maine from exile at a Florida prison, where he has been repeatedly stabbed, beaten and otherwise threatened for being a Mainer, i.e. "from Away".
Florida prison denies his request; he writes to Florida and Maine governors, and to Maine Speaker of the House Hannah Pingree, asking their help.
