Brandon Thongsavanh is a Maine man serving time in prison for killing another man. He was shipped out of Maine state prison to a Conecticut prison several years ago. He has filed a request under the new Maine Department of Corrections policy to return to Maine state prison.

In this letter to Maine Dept of Corrections Scott McCaffery, Thonsavanh refutes allegations by Maine and Conecticut prison officials that he is violent and too dangerous to return. McCaffery is chair of the Maine state prison committee that will recommend whether Thongsavanh will be allowed to return to Maine. Following the letter are two Connecticut prison documents from December 2008, part of the letter.
